SWIMMING:
In the mood for a dip?
There are three indoor pools
in the city, open year round.
The Canada Games Aquatic
Centre in North West London
offers a 50-metre, Olympicsize
pool with a movable floor
in the shallow end, indoor
aquatic rock climbing wall,
diving boards and diving
platforms. 1045 Wonderland
Rd. N. 519-661-4455. There
is also the South London
Community Pool near White
Oaks Mall at 585 Bradley
Ave. 519-661-0920 and the
Carling Heights Optimist
Community Centre (entrance
off McMahen and Elizabeth
St.) 519-661-2525. All these
pools have recreational swims,
as well as fitness swims,
family swims, aquafit classes,
etc. There are also a dozen
outdoor city-run pools for
summer fun including those
at Gibbons Park, Thames
Park, Byron Optimist Centre,
Oakridge and Westminster.
Outdoor pools are open daily
beginning June 30, 2008,
weather permitting. For further

SPRAY PADS AND WADING POOLS:
There are children’s spray
pads at several locations
throughout the city including
a large water play area in
Harris Park at the Forks of the
Thames, as well as Roundtree,
Lambeth, Kiwanis Park, West
Lions at the Kinsmen arena,
