in hands-on play areas for kids of all
ages. Special play days every Saturday,
year-’round, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Toy
Shoppe has a children’s book section full
of both classics of yesteryear and some of
today’s favourites, a real Volkswagen Beetle
to play in, a Games Garage with games for
all ages, Rose’s Resource Loft for teachers
and parents, and a cool tweenie section (for
ages 8-14). Under their popular annual big
top circus tent (open daily, July 11-27), the
Toy Shoppe features free attractions and
interactive play centers for all ages.

The Children’s Library in the Galleria
downtown offers plenty of activities and
entertainment for kids of all ages, including
fi lms, puppet shows, crafts, music and
family story times. The branch libraries
also have a variety of storytelling and craft
combinations as well as Christmas vacation
activities, March Break activities and plenty

BE A SUNDAY ARTIST:

Every Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. kids
of all ages are invited to drop in and join
in the hands-on creativity after or before
a self-guided tour of Museum London
exhibitions. Every talent is welcomed at Be
a Sunday Artist. They supply the materials
and a monitor is ready to assist you.
Bring your imagination and have fun with
family and friends! Caregivers are asked to
supervise their budding artists. Free.

The Original Kids Theatre Company is made
up of young performers from 8–18 who
present mostly family-oriented musicals
and plays. Season runs Oct. to Aug. Some
shows in the 2008 season include The Good
Doctor (April 24-27), Kiss Me, Kate (May
6-10), Return to the Forbidden Planet (May
21-25), Footloose (May 29-June 1, Wolf
Performance Hall, London Public Library)
and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,
a pay-what-you–can event at the Rotary
Reading Garden, London Public Library
as part of the London Fringe Festival (July
